What we do for a house that has stood a while

Each job starts the same way: look first, then decide what, if anything, needs treating.

  • The fall seal-up

The outside, the cellar and the attic, with every gap we find closed and written down.

    See the checklist
  • Mice, rats and squirrels

Find the way in, close it with metal, then trap where there's something to catch.

    How we do it
  • Carpenter ants

A nest in a wall means water in the wall. We deal with both.

    Carpenter ants
  • Flies, beetles and stink bugs

The fall crowd on the south wall and in the attic.

    The usual guests
  • Wasps and hornets

Nests under eaves and in porch ceilings, removed in protective gear.

    Ask about a nest
  • The two-visit year

A spring visit and a fall visit, and a phone call between them if something turns up.

    How pricing works

The year

A year with us, in four notes

  1. 01

Step 1: April: the spring visit

Damp spots, sills and porch posts, where ants start. We look at what winter did to the house.

  2. 02

Step 2: June to August: call us

Wasps and ants show up between visits. Phone, and we'll tell you what it is before we drive over.

  3. 03

Step 3: September and October: the fall seal-up

The checklist, the cellar and the attic, before the first hard freeze.

  4. 04

Step 4: Winter: if you hear something

Scratching in the walls in January means something got in. Call; the answer is in the cellar or the attic.

What a plan includes and how it's priced is written in your estimate before anything starts.
